Late winter painting efforts 2018

If I feel nothing you will feel the same. It is easy to be enthusiastic about those people in your life who mean the most to you. These images are of the people who mean to most to me, Diane Santarella (wife), Joshua Wesley (son), Rowan Wesley (grandson) ,and Jennifer Lawrence (daughter-in-law) are the subject of these paintings. Their physical features is secondary to what I see in their soul and spirit. Every liberty I take with their outward appearance gives me permission to share and explore their inner beauty and uniqueness.

There are a few spaces available in my August Workshop at Bon Secours Conference Center, Maryland and the Maine workshops in June and July.

I love everything about painting. I love feeling the paint, seeing a rich color spread under my brush onto a surface, and the play between colors coming together. I love watching my idea take form until a painting finally says “it” and I am surprised and delighted every time. I love sharing my art and knowing that someone is moved by it.
