I went to your exhibit at Delaplaine this weekend. I absolutely loved your new works!
You’re always so inspiring to me–and you keep me on my toes with going forward with my own painting.
Take good care,

You have a great gift, it is good you are sharing it. I now live near Venice, Italy and when covid is beaten I will plan to fly to Maine and take a workshop.

I admire your art in the Palette magazine, and have a question if you have a moment
Your article in #74, Moments of Insight intrigued me, so I set about Making Marks. The part about making semi-opaque gesso has me stumped. I’m using Utrecht gesso, and thinned it with water, then applied it to the canvas. The result was more cloudy than I expected, though your piece “letters numbers and figures” also seems somewhat opaque.
Just trying to understand how to get the effect. I like the distortion, but want more o the under layer to come through. Just keep experimenting ?

Hi Robbie, Thanks for the inquiry. It is tricky to get the correct mixture of water to acrylic, but take that time to get it just right.
sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Crazy year!!!
