The images have been offered by many of the students who attended Skip Lawrence’s Maine Workshops 2017. I have never done this before, but feel that their efforts deserve attention. The goal of these workshops is to encourage each student to find subjects, styles, approaches that are unique to that person. The styles range from realistic to non-objective, from pure color to neutral grays, from 12″x 12″ to 32″x40″, using watercolor, acrylic, collage and oils. Exciting images and freedon to explore every path are the montras we live and work by.

I love everything about painting. I love feeling the paint, seeing a rich color spread under my brush onto a surface, and the play between colors coming together. I love watching my idea take form until a painting finally says “it” and I am surprised and delighted every time. I love sharing my art and knowing that someone is moved by it.
